On October 26, 2013 China (Beijing) Film Academic Annual Conference opened at China Film Museum. The theme of this annual conference is “Cenozoic: Light Film and Thought Energy.” Nearly 100 industry leaders, first-line filmmakers and experts and scholars, members of leading groups of Chinese movie museums, film-related professional teachers and students, as well as members of the China Film Museum, film critics and audience representatives attended the conference. At this annual meeting, the introduction and interpretation of the concept of “light movie” aroused widespread concern in the industry and audience. Yang Yongan, director of the China Film Museum, introduced the theme of the convention and said that in recent years some films that were not heavily invested or produced have started to appear in the mainland movie industry
