湖北省科委,湖北省医药管理局于1983年2月4日在武汉市主持召开了呋喃妥因栓鉴定会。参加会议的有省科委,省医药管理局、省制药工业公司、省市卫生、药检部门及有关的科研、生产、临床21个单位的47名代表。呋喃妥因是较好的尿路抗感染药,临床应用很广泛,但口服给药有一定的副反应。1980年,黄石火冶钢厂职工医院药剂科,改变给药途径,初步研制成呋喃妥因栓剂,减少对胃肠道刺激性,保证了临床疗效。1982年经省科委列入省科研计划项目,由火冶钢厂职工医院和武汉第四制药厂对该品种作进一步研究。本品在完成了生物利用度及亚急性毒性试验后,经湖北医学院附一院、武汉医学院附属一院、湖北中医学院附院、武汉市一医院、武汉市二医院、火冶钢厂职工医院等医
