今天,我们在这里举行纪念梅兰芳九十诞辰的艺术研究讨论会,许多对梅兰芳艺术有深刻研究、有学术价值的发言,将在会上发表,我先垫个“帽儿戏”,抛砖引玉。我们现在来纪念梅兰芳同志,不仅是对他的怀念,甚至不仅是为了继承与发展他的艺术成就,我觉得,他走过的这六十多年的人生道路,除了为中国戏曲艺术立下了不朽的业绩,形成了具有自己独特风格的艺术流派,我们还可以从他对艺术、对群众、对国家、对党的态度中,看出他作为一个伟大艺术家所表现出来
