By the Department of Road and Traffic Engineering, Tongji University mainly developed “subgrade and pavement material parameter program controller” on November 9, 1989 passed the technical appraisal. The instrument utilizes existing pressurization equipment for Marshall stability, flexural strength and modulus, load bearing plates, CBR and splitting tests, as well as for cement concrete or other forces and displacement measurements. Participating experts believe that the instrument to improve the roadbed, pavement material parameters measured degree of automation, testing accuracy and efficiency, with significant economic and social benefits.
