Synthesis of hydrocarbons from H_2/CO mixtures over two unsupported alloys having the composition FeTi(?) and FeTi_2 was studied in a differential reactor.Reactions were carried out at a pressure of 3.45 MPa and temperatures in the range 525—574 K.Kinetic and product distribution data were used to elucidate the mech- anism of the reaction.The form of the actvie catalyst was inferred by examination of the surface composi- tion.
