地膜覆盖具有提高地温、防止雨淋、保持土壤湿度等作用。因此,在西瓜栽培上应用地膜覆盖,对促进西瓜根系生长,提早成熟,增加产量,是一项十分有效的技术措施。据实践,地膜覆盖西瓜每亩虽然增加投资12～15元,但由于西瓜早熟上市单价高,每亩可增值150～250元,因此,经济效益能显著提高。现将地膜覆盖栽培西瓜的技术要点介绍如下:
