A new type of HTS dual-mode multi-turn zigzag microstrip loop resonator filter has been developed and an accurate method for calculating the coupling coefficient between two modes has been given.The calculation of the quadrupole filter using full-wave technique shows that it has excellent Narrow passband, high selectivity and small size. An HTS quadrupole filter was designed, fabricated and tested. The experimental results are in good agreement with theoretical calculations. This filter is suitable for satellite communication and mobile communication systems
