培养和提高学生的英语语言应用能力是我国大学公共英语教学的应然之举;而提高这种跨文化的语言应用能力离不开对英语国家文化的了解。加强跨文化意识和交际能力的培养并有机融入日常教学活动,是当前大学公共英语教学改革走向实质性创新的重要环节,是最终达到培养大学生的跨文化交际能力的语言教学目的的实现途径。
To cultivate and improve students’ English language ability is a must for public English teaching in Chinese universities. To improve this cross-cultural linguistic competence requires an understanding of English-speaking cultures. To strengthen the cultivation of intercultural awareness and communicative competence and integrate into daily teaching activities organically is an important part of the current university public English teaching reform towards substantive innovation and the ultimate realization of the purpose of language teaching to cultivate intercultural communicative competence of college students.
