7月25日,山东省文登市渔政站的同志们和鲁文渔1037号船渔民一起把一只体长1米、重110.8公斤的稀有绿海龟放归大海。海龟回到大海后,接连几次浮出水面,回头看了看,依依不舍地向大海深处游去,似乎感谢着人们给予它的新生。 7月20日,鲁文渔1037号渔船在用扣流网捕鱼时,意外捕获这只稀有的海龟。长期在海上捕鱼的船长曲文强说:“我们从未见过外表这么奇异的海龟,也没听说过。当时船上有人主张杀掉它,可一看它正两眼滴泪,直盯着我们,可灵感着哩！我断定它是只稀有海洋动物,便主张把它保护好,立即收了网具,急忙驾船返航。”
