RT 120mm重型迫击炮——步兵连队最大的火炮RT 120mm重型迫击炮是日本陆上自卫队步兵连队装备的最大型火炮。1992年,自卫队采购了法军的F1式120mm迫击炮并装备部队,随后丰和工业公司获得授权开始批量生产,并命名为RT重型迫击炮。RT迫击炮炮身长2.1m,全炮质量约600kg;炮弹长约890mm,质量约18.7kg。一般情况下射速12发/分,最快可达20发/分;射程方面,发射普通炮弹时可达8 100m,发射火箭增程弹时则能够达到13 000m。该炮在炮身上开槽,以利散热,炮膛内刻有膛线,因此精度比普通滑膛迫击炮要高。炮底板呈花瓣形,面积较大,以固定炮身,并冲抵发射时的后坐力。轮子兼作炮架,可自由调整方向。
