1988年,中国乒乓球队在黄石基地备战40届世乒赛,我和一些同学有幸到基地观看了国守队的比赛,欣赏到仰慕已久的江嘉良、陈龙灿的球技。比赛间隙,我见缝插针找到江嘉良,请他在我特地买来的友谊球板上签名,江嘉良一身热气,笑容灿烂,一副影星气度,他热情潇洒地签了名,然后说道:“谢谢”。我惶恐道:“应该是我荣幸才对。”江嘉良说“没有球迷的支持,我们算什么。”我顿时为他的谦虚态度折服,接连好几天不知肉味。很遗憾他在40届世乒赛上团体、单项皆失利,但对我来说他的顽强形象永远不会浸没,那只他签名的球板我至今丝毫无损地保存着、珍藏着。
In 1988, the Chinese table tennis team was preparing for the 40th World Table Tennis Championships at Huangshi Base. I and some of my classmates were fortunate enough to watch the national team team base tournament and admire the long-admired Jiang Jialiang and Chen Longcan’s skills. Gap in the game, I find Jiang Jialiang pin, I asked him to buy in the specially-signed friendship plate, Jiang Jialiang a hot air, smiling brilliant, a star of his degree, he enthusiastically signed, and then said: “Thank you.” I am scared: “It should be my honor to be right.” Jiang Jialiang said “Without the support of fans, what we count.” I was impressed by his modest attitude, I do not know the taste of meat for days after another. I regret to say he was a group in the 40th World Table Tennis Championships, all single defeat, but for his tenacious image will never be submerged, the only he signed the ball I have kept intact, treasured.
