Objective To explore the quality of life (QOL) in stroke patients. Methods The WHOQOL-100 Chinese version was used to assess the quality of life of 189 patients with acute stroke and normal controls, and to compare the quality of life between stroke patients and normal controls. Results After the WHOQOL-100 Chinese version was assessed, the quality of life of patients with stroke was found to be significantly lower than that of the control group (P <0.01) in physical, psychological, independent abilities, environmental field, personal beliefs and QOL-100 total score The score of social relations was also significantly lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). After excluding the complication of complication, the score of physical, psychological, independent ability and total score of QOL-100 in stroke patients was significantly lower than that in control group (P <0.01). After Hotelling T ~ 2 test and multivariate analysis of variance, we found that the overall quality of life of stroke patients was significantly lower than that of the normal control group (P <0.01). Conclusion The quality of life of patients with stroke is significantly lower than that of normal healthy people. The Chinese version of WHOQOL-100 can accurately assess the quality of life of patients with stroke.
