Until now, there has been only one major supplier of biopolymer polylactic acid (PLA) with the largest commercial use, with a limited range of products. However, there are a lot of new companies coming on stage, and they will launch many new polylactic acid products - polylactic acid, PLA, PLA, and even DIY. One of the most interesting developments is that a large European expanded polystyrene pellet processor has polymerized polylactic acid and produced the world’s first foamed polylactic acid (EPLA) bead foam.
