The nonlinear governing equations and its solutions for the tropical atmospheric planetary boundary layer are derived by means of scale analysis and vertical coordinate transformation. It is shown that the nonlinear momentum advection may alter the critical latitude. The restrictive requirement for the solutions to have continuity both in the free atmosphere and in the planetary boundary layer is derived. The context provides theoretical basis for numerical calculation of the wind field within the tropic atmospheric planetary boundary layer.
