国务院总理温家宝近日在本届国务院关税税则委员会第一次全体会议上强调,要认真做好新形势下的关税工作,高度重视发挥财政职能作用,进一步做好财政工作。党中央、国务院历来十分重视关税工作。我国加入世贸组织后面临许多新的机遇和挑战,给关税工作提出了新的更高要求。在未来相当长的时期内,无论关税水平如何变化,关税仍将存在并在维护国家主权权益、实施宏观调控、增加财政收入等方面,继续发挥其重要作用。希望新一届税委会要认真履行职责,着力抓好几项主要工作:一是促进改革开放和经济发展。有效发挥关税调控作用,使关税更好地为促进经济发展服务,为深化改革和扩大对外开放服务,为提高我国经济竞争力服务。
Wen Jiabao, Premier of the State Council, recently stressed at the first plenary session of the Tariff Commission on Tariffs and Tariffs of the State Council that we must earnestly do a good job in customs duties in the new situation, attach great importance to giving play to the role of the financial authorities and do a better job in financial work. The Central Party Committee and the State Council have always attached great importance to tariff work. After China’s accession to the WTO, it has faced many new opportunities and challenges and put new and higher requirements on tariff work. In a long period of time to come, no matter how the tariff level changes, the tariff will still exist and will continue to play an important role in safeguarding the sovereignty and rights of the state, implementing macro-control and increasing financial revenue. We hope that the new taxation committee should earnestly perform its duties and focus its efforts on several major tasks: First, to promote reform, opening up and economic development. Effectively play the role of tariff regulation, so that tariffs to better promote economic development services, deepen reform and opening up to serve the outside world, to improve China’s economic competitiveness.
