杜威的实用主义思想在近代中国产生了深远的影响,他的经验即课程、课程教材心理化以及建立思维型课堂的课程教学观对新课程实施过程中科学课的教学有着重大的指导意义:首先,中小学科学教材应该根据学生的实际经验进行活动设计;其次,科学课程教材的编写要符合儿童的心理发展特点,与其当下的生活经验密切联系;再次,科学教学过程中教师应采用“从做中学”的教学方法,加强学生的思维训练,培养学生发现问题、主动思考、设法解决的科学习惯。
