穿孔素是存在于小鼠细胞毒T细胞(CTL)和 NK细胞的胞浆颗粒中的一种细胞溶解因子,它在Ca~(2+)存在下可结合到靶细胞膜上并聚集成多聚体的形成跨膜通道,从而导致细胞溶解。已知穿孔素与补体第9成份(C9)在结构和功能上有极大的相似性,但尚无分子生物学证据来说明穿孔素与C9是否来自共同的祖基因。
Perforin is a cytolytic factor present in cytoplasmic granules of mouse cytotoxic T cells (CTLs) and NK cells that binds to the target cell membrane and accumulates in the presence of Ca 2+ The formation of transmembrane channels leads to cell lysis. It is known that perforin has a substantial structural and functional similarity to complement component 9 (C9), but there is no molecular biological evidence that perforin and C9 are from a common ancestral gene.
