1979年在“全国马铃薯留种保种科研协作会”上,山东农学院和郑州、西安、湖北等地介绍利用阳畦(冷床)在冬季或早春留种的经验.每30平方米生产的小块茎,可供秋季1亩地的种薯.阳畦种薯在秋季栽培,出苗早而整齐,株势健壮,退化轻微,没有死苗缺株.一般亩产3,500斤,条件较好的可达4,000～5,000斤.现将山东农学院“阳畦留种保种技术”介绍如下.
