人类社会在不断地发展和进步,这些进步在很大程度上是和提高效率分不开的。而效率的提高,同时也意味着不断地为自己拓开新的时空。 几千年来,人类几乎所有的进步都可以从距离的缩短和速度的提高得到证实。从猿到人的转变是通过直立行走完成的,而直立行走的直接结果就是扩大了获取食物的范围。驯养动物同样是使人类超越体能所及的时空的重要努力。而火车、轮船、飞机以及宇宙飞船的出现,更加拓宽了人类的时空。
The continuous development and progress of human society are largely inseparable from the enhancement of efficiency. However, the improvement of efficiency means that we constantly open up new space and time for ourselves. For thousands of years, almost all human progress can be confirmed by shortening the distance and increasing speed. The transition from ape to man is done through upright walking, and the direct result of standing upright is to expand the range of access to food. Domestication of animals is also an important endeavor that has made mankind transcend the space and time involved in physical fitness. The emergence of trains, ships, aircraft and spacecraft has further broadened the human space and time.
