现代教育理论认为院学生不是被动接受教育的，他们具有主观能动性，应是教学的主体，以学生为主体已成为现代教学模式共同的趋向。本文从英语课堂教学中学生的学习心理、课堂的教学组织形式等方面阐述了以学生主体的迫切性。旨在最大限度地发挥学生的自主性、能动性和创造性。
