Foreign language teaching is an important part of college teaching, an endless stream of teaching methods. The theory of communicative competence proposed by Hymes provides a theoretical framework for communicative pedagogy and has a profound impact on foreign language teaching. Therefore, communicative competence theory is very important for foreign language teaching.
