一提到翻译的原则,人们很自然的想到了音译、直译和意译的方法。音译、直译和意译都是翻译的技巧问题。李照国于1999年出版了《医古文英语翻译技巧》,其中,他翻译了《内经五则》,从中我们可以看到翻译的这三个原则的应用。总的来看,某些具有民族性的用语予以音译是比较合理的。一般来说,直译能够达意的当直译,这样可以使译语具有一定的回译性,有利于中外的交流。如果直译有损于信息的表达或易生歧义,则应考虑意译。
