The complex life activities are regulated by many bioactive substances, and the peptides that play a regulatory role in the nervous system are called neuromedins (neuropeptides). They are composed of several or dozens of amino acids, most of which have strong biological activity. For example, in 1975 extracted from the brain of a role similar to morphine peptide, composed of five amino acids, known as enkephalin. In the past ten years, more than 20 kinds of peptides with similar functions have been discovered one after another, collectively referred to as opioid peptides, including 17 amino acids of dynorphin and 31 amino acids of β-endorphin. What they all have in common is that they both act through the morphine receptor, so their effects can be blocked by the morphine receptor blocker (naloxone)
