近年来,桐城市非公有制经济迅猛发展,非公有制企业从业队伍不断壮大。截至2008年底,全市注册非公企业1000余家,经济总量占据了市域经济的三分之二,非公有制经济从业人员12万余人,占全市生产经营从业人员总数八成以上,主要分布在印刷包装、机械配件制造、制刷制盖、农产品深加工、玻璃制造及家纺等行业。在深入学习实践科学发展观活动的推动下,桐城市非公企业的党建工作也取得了新的进展。
