分形几何学是非线性科学中的一个活跃的数学分支，为描述、分析、生成各种自然景物、自然现象提供了合适的模型，具有巨大的实用价值．近年来，分形几何在医学图像处理方面得到了广泛的应用．本文介绍了分形理论的基本内容，而后综述了它在医学图像处理中的普遍应用，最后就应用中的有些问题做了讨论．
Fractal geometry is an active branch of mathematics in nonlinear science. It provides a suitable model for describing, analyzing and generating various natural scenes and natural phenomena, and has great practical value. In recent years, fractal geometry has been widely used in medical image processing. This paper introduces the basic content of fractal theory, and then summarizes its universal application in medical image processing. Finally, some problems in application are discussed.
