一九八三年九月商务印书馆新版《马氏文通·序》中有这样两句话: 天下之事可学者各自不同,而其承用之名,亦各有主义前不能相混。佛家之“根”“尘”“法”“相”,法律家之“以”“准”“皆”“各”“及其”“即若”,与夫军中之令,司官之式,皆各自为条例。 句中的“及其”“即若”,标点错了。正确的标点应是“及”“其”“即”“若”。换言之,从“以”到“若”,所指凡八事,非六事。洪诚先生的《中国历代语言文字学文选》中选有此序。洪诚先生的书早出一年,但其标点错误与此同。洪诚先生注解了“根”“尘”“法”“相”,未注“以”“准”“皆”“各”等八字,想是盖阙之意。
In September 1983, the new edition of the Commercial Press’s Ma Shi Wen Tong Preface contained two sentences: The things in the world can be different for each scholar, and the name of their undertaking can not be mixed before each one has its own principle. The “root”, “dust” and “law” of Buddhism, the “law” of “law”, “quasi” “Jie”, “all” and “ Style, all of them for the Ordinance. Sentence ”and its“ ”Ruoyouru“ punctuation was wrong. The correct punctuation should be ”and“ ”its“ ”ie“ ”if“. In other words, ”from“ to ”if“ refers to all eight things, not six things. Mr. Hong Cheng’s ”Selected Works of Chinese Language and Literature“ selected this order. Mr. Hong Cheng book one year earlier, but its punctuation error with the same. Mr. Hong Cheng annotated the characters ”root“, ”dust“, ”law“, ”no“, ”quasi“, ”all“ and ”each".
