《隋代墓志铭汇考》是西安碑林博物馆所执行的研究计划,2001年开始由国家文物局立项资助,列入全国文物博物馆系统人文社会科学重点研究课题,2002年开始进行编纂,2003年“隋代墓志铭汇考计划”主持人王其祎研究员和周晓薇教授邀请毛汉光教授与本人参与墓志的编纂计划,预计将当时所搜集500余种隋代墓志标点并集释出版。毛师遂与本人进行计划应如何推行之设计,认为需要先就隋代与隋代金石做初步之
