When the participle structure is an adverb, it is equivalent to an adverb, often placed in front of, behind or in the middle of the basic structure of the sentence and separated by commas. This kind of adverbial phrase often has the meaning of time, reason, condition, way, supplementary explanation, result, etc. It is frequently used in science and technology English. Beginners English learners often find it difficult to distinguish their meanings, thus affecting the level of reading and translating.
