This article aims to illustrate the importance of cultural intelligence and its benefits in hotel tourism. This paper proposes the definition of cultural intelligence and its four elements and evaluates the method of cultural intelligence through comparison with other cultural management methods such as Hofstede, Trondheim, Schwartz and Hof. The results show that cultural intelligence surpasses past research and emphasizes personal skills, behaviors, qualities and abilities in handling and understanding people from different cultural backgrounds. In addition, cultural intelligence is beneficial for personal, organizational, and international management training in hotel tourism.
