The synthesis of a nucleic acid model polymer has attracted a great deal of attention because it provides meaningful information about its structure and properties as well as its biological activity. It is for these reasons that nucleic acid analogs have been reported for the multi-altered structure between the polymer backbone and nitrogen-containing ganglias.
