In 1957 Mongolian archaeologist Dole Jirong found a fragment of a tetrahedron monument on the ground in the Tieer Hun River basin in the northwestern part of Hangyai Mountains, with ancient Turkic characters inscribed on it. In September 1969, we found this place and dug a pit of 2 by 2 meters and 0.8 meters deep around the monument. As a result, we found that the ground-exposed fragment was found on the stone turtle pedestal, and the tail of the stone turtle was carved Ancient Turkic text and coat of arms. We observed these findings, took photos and made rubbings. In 1970, two more archaeologists dug a ditch next to the stone turtle and discovered two other blocks of the monument. Unfortunately, the top section has not been found so far. The three sections found and stone turtles have all been shipped to Ulan Bator and are currently kept at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences in the People’s Republic of Mongolia.
