目前供应的品种繁多的刀具,为工具工程师提高生产率和降低成本所提供的途径,也许是空前多的。为了获得这些好处,在使工具能得到合理使用前,必须对所提供的各种刀具材料的切削性能及其优缺点,作一番详细的了解。
The wide variety of tools currently available may provide unprecedented opportunities for tooling engineers to increase productivity and reduce costs. In order to gain these benefits, a thorough understanding of the machinability and the advantages and disadvantages of the various tool materials provided must be made before the tools can be used reasonably.
