According to the latest report released by the American Computer Industry Yearbook, global Internet users are estimated to reach 259 million by the end of this year, to 490 million in 2002 and to 765 million in 2005. According to the company, the top 10 countries with the largest Internet users worldwide at the end of 1999 were: the United States (110 million), Japan (18 million), the United Kingdom (14 million), Canada (13.3 million), Germany (12.3 million) , Australia (6.83 million), Brazil (6.8 million), China (6.3 million), France (5.69 million) and South Korea (5.68 million).
