镍镉电池中含有镉,所以会对生态环境和大气造成污染。镍氢电池和锂离子电池,由于不含铅、汞、镉,因此被称为“绿色电池”,所以现在市场上销售的手机电池多数是镍氢电池和锂离子电池。另外,在不久的将来,一种称为光电源电池的手机电池,一定会带来一场新的革命,这种电池是利用光能转化为电能,从而给手机随时补充能量。这种光电源电池环保性更好,是科技发展的必然结果。
