纪念广场是现代化城市文明与历史的象征，河南省南阳市1998年在市中心区域白河之滨建立解放广场，这对于改善南阳城市环境，增强历史文化名城的知名度有着重要作用。笔者曾参加解放广场的规划设计工作，现就解放广场的规划设计实践，探讨我国城市纪念广场的建设与发展思路。南
Memorial Plaza is a symbol of modern urban civilization and history. Nanyang City, Henan Province established the Liberation Square on the shore of Baihe River in the downtown area in 1998. This has played an important role in improving Nanyang’s urban environment and enhancing the popularity of historical and cultural cities. The author once participated in the planning and design work of the Liberation Square. He is now discussing the planning and design practice of the Liberation Square and exploring the construction and development ideas of the China City Memorial Plaza. south
