粮食、蔬菜、水果等的贮藏,目前正在推广气调技术。对粮食的缺氧贮藏以及对蔬菜,水果的贮藏保鲜而言,快速降氧比自然降氧在延长贮存时间和提高好果收率方面更有显著效果。那末,如何达到贮藏空间的快速降氧呢?一般使用了抽空充氮方法。因此,如何获得廉价无害的氮气对采用这一技术就是十分重要的了。由于空气分出的氮气(即所谓钢并氮)不仅成本高昂而且又不容易弄到.这几年便发展了以某种燃料与空气进行燃烧来生产氮气以供气调技术使用的方法。不论是固体燃料如木炭,液体燃料如煤油,还是气体燃料如液化石油气、天然气、沼气、氢气等均可以燃烧消耗空气中的氧从而制得氮气。

Whether it is solid fuels such as charcoal, liquid fuels such as kerosene, or gaseous fuels like liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas, biogas, hydrogen, etc. can burn and consume oxygen in the air to make nitrogen.
