长期以来，统计工作不受重视，特别是确立了建立社会主义市场经济体系以后，这个问题更加突出。难道在市场经济体制下统计工作真的无用武之地了吗？本文论述了产生这一问题的原因；即统计工作只重视为计划服务，不重视为市场服务；统计信息的传递重纵轻横、重上轻下，没有形成信息反馈机制等弊端。在此基础上论述了市场经济体制本身不仅需要统计工作，而且还需要加强统计工作。如何加强统计工作呢？提出了具体对策是：必须树立为企业经营服务的观念；积极参与统计信息网的建设，了解市场行情，为企业决策服务；树立新的“人才观”强化统计队伍；发挥统计的整体功能完善统计工作。
For a long time, statistics have been neglected. Especially after the establishment of the socialist market economic system, the issue has become even more prominent. Is statistics really useless under the market economy? This article discusses the causes of this problem; that is, statistical work only focuses on planning services, does not pay attention to market services; statistical information transfer overrun, re-light, there is no formation of information feedback mechanism and other shortcomings. On this basis, it discusses that the market economic system itself not only needs statistical work, but also needs to strengthen the statistical work. How to strengthen the statistical work? Put forward the specific countermeasures are: must establish the concept of business services for the enterprise; actively participate in the construction of statistical information network to understand the market conditions, business decision-making services; establish a new “talent” to strengthen the statistical team; to play a statistical overall function perfect statistics jobs.
