昌黎县是河北省花生主要生产县之一,常年播种10万亩以上,历史最大播种面积超过20万亩。由于全县花生集中在沙地,连年重茬,不仅地力下降,而且花生线虫病等为害严重,再加上早春干旱,历年不能适时播种,致使花生产量低而不稳,经济效益不高,种植面积逐年缩小。为扭转这种局面,全县从1985年开始改革种植样式,进行小麦、花生、夏播大豆立体种植,使花生亩产达到189公斤。经几年的示范推广,已被广大群众认识,1990年全县推广1万亩,小麦亩产225—300公斤,花生亩产142—230公斤。麦茬豆亩产60—100公斤。提高了产量。增加了经济效益和生态效益。一、经济效益立体种植改善了花生的生态环境,提高厂单产
