According to related data and literature records, the men’s long jump performance was increased from 6.80 meters to 8.30 meters, mainly due to: (1) With the constant acceleration of the run-up speed, the horizontal speed of take-off has been significantly improved; (2) With the shortening of the stepping time, the vertical speed of takeoff has also been greatly improved (according to the formula: V=s/t, t and V are inversely proportional to each other). Then, what are the horizontal speeds and vertical speeds after jumping? What are their effects on the long-term performance? Whether in long-distance teaching or training, there should be a clear understanding of the above issues. This is what this article discusses
