玉米是我市主要的高产作物,常年种植面积在40万hm~2左右,占总播种面积1/4,产量占总产量一半以上,在农业生产中占举足轻重的地位。每年用种量为1200万kg,其中自繁自用种子仅为400万 kg 左右,仅占用种量的33%。另外,800万 kg 种子必须到外省外地去繁育,象我市第一积温带,第二、三积温带大双覆用的晚熟品种占300万 kg 左右,大部分到辽宁、吉林、内蒙古繁殖;剩下500万 kg 中、早熟品种需到我省绥化、青岗、海伦、肇东等地
