“中国戏剧文学学会”已于1985年4月23日在北京正式宣布成立。这对于从事戏剧文学创作的剧作家来说是一个大喜讯。近几年来,涉及艺术与科学的各种学会相继成立。但是,没有与戏剧文学创作有关的学术性团体。对此,广大戏剧文学工作者,包括从事戏剧创作和戏剧评论的剧作家和评论家,纷纷要求成立一个学术性的专业组织,以便进行学术交流、创作信息交换和创作问题探讨等活动。今年春天,在学习胡启立同志“在中国作协第四次会员代表大会上的祝词”座谈会上,剧作家们又一次表示了要求成立戏剧文学学会的强烈愿望。剧协领导对剧作家们的正当要求表示支持,决定立即筹备。
“Chinese Theater Literature Society” was officially announced in Beijing on April 23, 1985. This is a great news for playwrights who are engaged in dramatic literature creation. In recent years, various societies involving arts and sciences have been established. However, there are no academic groups related to drama writing. In this regard, the majority of theatrical and literary workers, including dramatists and critics engaged in dramatic writing and dramatic commentary, demanded that an academic professional organization be set up to carry out such activities as academic exchange, information exchange and creative creation. This spring, while studying Comrade Hu Qili’s message of “Greetings at the Fourth Congress of Chinese Writers’ Association”, the writers once again expressed the strong desire to establish the Society of Drama and Literature. Drama Association leaders expressed their support for the legitimate demands of the dramatists and decided to immediately prepare.
