天体力学是一个新的力学分支,研究人类从地球向空间发射的各种飞行器的运动,又称人造天体动力学。就目前情况来说,人造天体基本上分为三类:人造地球卫星、月球火箭和行星际飞行器。这三类人造天体在运动过程中出现的力学问题互不相同,从而又各自形成了人造地球卫星动力学、月球火箭动力学和行星际飞行器动力学。从近几年的高考试题来看,对人造地球卫星和天体的运动考查频率很高,几乎成为每年高考的必考内容,由于航天技术、人造地球卫星属于现代科技发展的重要领域,有关人造卫星问题的考查频率会越来越高,加上载人航天的成功和中国的探月计划的实施,这些都是命题的热点内容,2008年估计也要以此为背景进行命题。
