Chen Tianzhang Martyr, also known as Ke Qin, was born in 1906 to a rural priest’s family in Qinshan Village, Waikeng Township (now Putian County Xinxian Commune). When studying at Putian Philosophy Middle School in 1926, he joined the Communist Youth League of China and soon became a member of the Chinese Communist Party. Later served as member of the CPC Putian special district committee, Putian county committee and member of the Putian Center County Committee, Chinese workers and peasants Red Army twenty-three army two seven regiment political commissar.
