Zhang Lu was favorably received by hundreds of millions of viewers and Internet users due to the authentic translation of the classic poems quoted by Premier Wen during a news conference. Zhang Lu is currently deputy director of the English translation department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is the chief translator of Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao.
