“In order to cast this bean, it is worth the bloodshed!” In 1941, for the first time in the Anti-Japanese War, I participated in the democratic election in the base area for nearly 60 years now. In the past half a century, I have been an elector in the election. When elected, I have been a provincial people’s representative. In a certain area, I have run (or called a leader) as a leader. I think it is not without real significance to write down my experiences and feelings in these three areas. I remember that for the first time more than 50 years ago, the chief of the village was elected in a certain village in the anti-Japanese base area of the Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region. At that time, 90% of the anti-Japanese base areas were illiterate. People did not write tickets.
