本文以英国为例,说明多元智能理论的跨文化价值,分析多元智能理论对英国中小学教育改革政策和实践的影响。尽管多元智能理论在英国没能像在美国那样得到广泛的推广及实践,但是,在过去10年中,人们对加德纳的理论思想越来越感兴趣。该理论深入浅出,易于理解和实践,提出所有智能都是平等的。因此,它为许多家长和教师所接受。近年来,政府部长们和各级教育政策决策者也开始关注多元智能理论。
This article uses the United Kingdom as an example to illustrate the cross-cultural value of multiple intelligence theory and analyzes the impact of the multiple intelligence theory on the education reform policy and practice in the UK. Although the theory of multiple intelligences has not been widely promoted and practiced in the United Kingdom as in the United States, people have become increasingly interested in Gardner’s theoretical ideas in the past decade. The theory is simple and easy to understand and practice. It is proposed that all intelligence is equal. Therefore, it is accepted by many parents and teachers. In recent years, government ministers and policy makers at all levels of education have also begun to pay attention to the theory of multiple intelligences.
