铁路制冰厂是冷藏运输的重要设备,我国1955年在广州西站修建了第一个铁路制冰厂.几年来,由于设备的改造和操作方法的改进,制冰效率已比原设计能力提高了一倍。根据这个厂的经验,对今后设计制冰厂时,提出了几点意见。本文探讨了铁路修建制冰厂的条件和经济合理性。提出了采用表格法确定制冰厂制冰能力和储冰库容量的建议。还对缩小制冰厂的面积,提高制冰效率问题,提出釆用小冰桶,选用大表面积的冷凝器和蒸发器,以便在工作条件变化时,能充分利用压缩机的能力,降低制冰池内盐水温度加速冻冰。文中对釆用予冷器冷却冻冰水的效果也作了分析。
