The preparatory meeting for the compilation of “China Encyclopedia of Hydraulic Encyclopedia” was held in Beijing from March 27 to March 31, 1985. Approved by the leadership of the Ministry of Water Conservancy and Electricity, the meeting was co-chaired by China Water Conservancy Society, China Hydropower Engineering Society, Science and Technology Department of Water Conservancy and Electric Power and Water Power Press, and invited 60 comrades from 36 units attended the meeting. The relevant departments of the Ministry of Water Conservancy and Electric Power and the leaders of units directly under Beijing attended the meeting.
