工业车间的主要抗震措施之一是加强或增设上弦横向支撑。此类支撑的截面和连接一般均由构造决定,仅在一些抗震设计资料中提及,必要时可按有50%的屋盖纵向地震水平荷载由上弦横向水平支撑分担,但此分配比的确定尚未见有充分依据,·且实际应用中亦嫌偏大。1981年出版的《抗震设计手册》提出,当有必要计算屋盖横向支撑的地震荷载和强度时,可按支撑与屋面板协同工作,并按其刚度比分担传递各自的地震荷载。同时,还给出了大型屋面板屋盖剪切刚度的参考取值
