科普书出版的转机据媒体报道,我国国民的阅读率六年来正在逐年下降,其中又以科普书的阅读率下降最多。究其原因,除了网络、音像和其他媒体的冲击之外,科普书风格单一、写法陈旧、缺乏时代感,是另一个重要原因。纵观今天的科普书市,高级科普读物绝大多数是翻译作品,篇幅厚重,译文质量参差不齐,有些内容艰涩难懂。虽然大多译自名家名著,但由于确实存在的浮躁的学术氛围的影响,一些读者对科普图书的阅读缺乏耐心,从而使这类图书陷于“叫好不叫座”的尴尬。
According to media reports, the read rate of our countrymen is declining year by year in six years, of which the reading rate of popular science books has dropped the most. The reason is that in addition to the impact of the Internet, audio-visual and other media, the single-style popular science book, obsolete wording, the lack of a sense of the times is another important reason. Throughout today’s popular science book market, the vast majority of high-level popular science books are translated works, heavy length, the quality of the translation varies, difficult to understand some of the content. Although mostly translated from masters, some readers are impatient with the reading of popular science books because of the impenetrable academic atmosphere that exists. As a result, these books are trapped in the awkward position of being a good man.
